Culwood House has a full programme of activities. There is something to do most days be it vegetable preparation, flower arranging, enjoying a glass of wine, silver polishing or joining in with a walk.

Music therapy groups, armchair exercise classes, art workshops, film afternoons, beauty and hairdressing treatments, magic shows, dance classes, jazz and classical guitar playing, easy listening singing, resident forums and poetry reading take place on a regular basis.

For those who enjoy a quieter life, there are peaceful spaces around the home and in the garden to relax with a good book or to entertain friends in private. Crosswords, newspapers, word searches, sudokus and games such as Scrabble, cards and Dominos can be provided on request. There are tea parties, Christmas bazaars and open days and trips out to local pubs for lunch and the theatre.

In warmer weather trips out on the canal or BBQs in the garden are enjoyed. Seasonal events are celebrated and often include the wider community such as schools and other local care homes. Please see Culwood’s Facebook and Instagram pages to see what is taking place.

Sky TV and internet access is available to all.
